Course Description


This training is a mix of hands-on and theory learning, teaching essential skills for those in a coxswain role on lifeboats and rescue boats, or those tasked with crewing such vessels in the case of an emergency on board.

Eligibility


Updating training is to be undertaken, in line with the above regulations, by seafarers holding a proficiency in survival craft and rescue boats (other than fast rescue boats) certificate, or equivalent.

Non-Indian participants are required to hold a Valid Student Visa to India to attend the course. For students from countries where embassies do not issue Student Visas for short courses, a Business or relevant visa may be submitted, provided it includes the endorsement: "Maritime Training at HIMT Offshore." Additionally, HIMT will also provide the Visa Letter, if required, upon successful booking of the course.

Documents Required



1. PSCRB certificate (Issued by the authority of any country accepted by UK MCA for FSE/CEC)

2. Valid Medical Certificate (ENG1 or Equivalent, egs-DGS Issued)

3. 2 Stamp Size photos [20mm x 25mm]

4. Student Visa (for foreign candidates)

Details


Reporting Time to HIMT Tidal Park- 6 AM. The bus will leave to HIMT College, Kalpakkam, by 6:15 AM from HIMT Tidal Park

Participants reporting to HIMT College, Kalpakkam directly can report by 7:30 AM

Departure from HIMT Kalpakkam- 4:00 PM
Arrival back to HIMT Tidal Park- 6:30 PM

If candidates miss the bus, then they can report to HIMT College, Kalpakkam campus directly.

Candidates must bring any valid National ID (such as a Driving License, Passport, Aadhaar Card, or similar government-issued identification) on the first day of the course for identity verification.

Dress Code : Collarless T.Shirts, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are not permitted for Physical Classes

The batch will be confirmed subject to a minimum of 3 participants in the batch.
