I had a very good experience at HIMT College while completing my GMDSS course. The overall training was well-structured, practical, and highly relevant to real onboard situations. The facilities and equipment provided for learning were satisfactory and helped in gaining clear hands-on knowledge. A special mention to Ragesh Sir and Sripadhan Sir for their excellent teaching. Ragesh Sir explains complex concepts in a very simple and understandable way, making it easy for students to grasp even the technical topics. Sripadhan Sir is extremely supportive and patient, always ready to clarify doubts and guide us until we are confident. Both of them played a major role in building my confidence in handling GMDSS equipment and procedures. Their dedication and teaching approach truly make a difference. Overall, I would highly recommend HIMT College for anyone planning to do the GMDSS course.

My experience with HIMT College has been absolutely terrible. This is honestly one of the worst educational experiences I have ever had, and I strongly warn anyone thinking about joining this college to reconsider. ⚠️😡🚫 The teaching quality is extremely poor. Most of the staff members do not properly teach the course material at all. Instead of focusing on the syllabus and helping students understand the subjects required to pass the exit exam, many instructors waste class time talking about their personal stories and unrelated experiences. Students pay a huge amount of money expecting professional training, but instead they sit through useless discussions that do not help with learning or exam preparation. 📚❌😤 Another major issue is the exit exam system, which feels completely unfair. It seems like students are intentionally allowed to fail the exam. Every time a student fails, they must pay ₹250 for each reattempt. Because of this, it feels like the college benefits financially from students failing instead of helping them pass. Instead of supporting students with proper teaching and guidance, the system appears designed to force students into repeated attempts just to collect more money. 💰😠💸 The reception staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. Whenever students approach them with questions or problems, they often respond in a very disrespectful and dismissive manner. They rarely try to help and often speak harshly. A college should have supportive staff who guide students, but here students are treated very poorly. 🗣️😒🚫 The food provided by the college is absolutely terrible. It is honestly some of the worst food I have ever seen at an educational institution. The quality is extremely poor and very disappointing considering the high amount of money students pay. For such expensive fees, the basic facilities like food should at least be decent, but unfortunately that is not the case at all. 🍛🤢💔 On top of everything, HIMT College charges extremely high fees, making it one of the most expensive maritime training institutes in India. Sadly, the quality of education, facilities, and student support does not match the price at all. Students end up paying huge amounts of money but receive very poor value in return. 💸😡❌ Overall, my experience with HIMT College has been completely awful and frustrating. Poor teaching, an exam system that seems to profit from student failures, rude and disrespectful reception staff, terrible food quality, and extremely expensive course fees make this college a very bad choice. 🚫 I strongly do NOT recommend HIMT College to anyone. Save your money, your time, and your future by choosing a better institution elsewhere. 😤⚠️

I booked Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) course at HIMT while Sailing using the HIMT Mobile app. After my sign off I joined this 12 days course. I visited this marine training institute for the first time, I was very blank and the admin staffs guided me a lot. The class was at 2nd floor, they had lift facility too and entered the class with a surprise because many seafarers were attending with me. We received our complete course materials on the first day itself. Mr. H.V. Rajesh and Mr. Sripadhan were our teaching faculty, both trained us in an extra-ordinary way with exam model questions for both practical and theoretical exams. Explained us with real-time scenarios simulator exercises, case studies, latest concepts with ease. This immense training helped me to clear my WPC Exam in 1st attempt itself and got my GOC. HIMT treated us with good care providing tea and snacks, complimentary breakfast and lunch while attending this course. I will choose HIMT for my all future courses.
