I had done GMDSS course in the month of December 2022. I had a wonderful experience attending the GMDSS course. The instructors were very knowledgeable and the class atmosphere was very conducive to learning. Special thanks to H V Rajesh Sir and Sripathan Sir for their expertise and guidance. I was also very pleased to see that everyone in the class was able to pass the course with a 100% success rate. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to further their studies in the maritime industry. Thanks for the great experience!

TEACHING WAS VERY GOOD FOOD WAS NOT UPTO THE MARK NEED MORE IMPROVEMENT IN FOOD OPTION
Faculties Mr.Rajesh sir and Mr.Sri Padhan sir are top class. Would suggest anyone going to do GMSS from India to do it under the guidance of these two people. Special thanks to Mr.Corera sir who took his time for teaching us log keeping.
The faculty are really friendly and experienced, they know what they are saying. The class room facilities are appreciated. The notes both digital and physical are top notch covering everything you need. The food and catering service should be improved, insufficient quantity and lack of variety makes it really hard when compared to other institutions. Other than that had a really great 2 weeks completing GMDSS course here in HIMT

🚨 STUDENTS, PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE JOINING HIMT 🚨 I am sharing this based on my own experience at HIMT. I feel that spending my hard-earned money on this college was a complete waste. 💰 Fees were taken, but the education and support I received did not match what I expected. During the course, students were made to feel fearful and pressured instead of receiving proper guidance and a supportive learning environment. In my experience, the education was also not up to the standard I expected from a maritime institute. 📢 The biggest issue was placement. We were repeatedly given the impression that companies would come for recruitment. Students were told to wait and were given hope about placement, but later the situation became very different. In my case, I was eventually told that my age was a little high and that getting a company would be difficult. If age was such a major issue, why was I allowed to join the course after paying a huge amount of money? Why wasn’t this made clear before admission? I also personally felt that students from South India were given preference, which was extremely discouraging. I am sharing this because other students should verify everything before investing their money and career here. ⚠️ DO NOT blindly trust verbal promises about placement. Ask for written placement commitments, check the actual placement record of your batch, speak to former students, and confirm the age eligibility and company requirements BEFORE paying fees. I am not asking anyone to blindly believe me. Do your own verification and research. I am sharing my experience so that other students don’t make the same mistake I feel I made. For me, this was a very disappointing and costly experience. Students, please think carefully before joining.

My experience at HIMT College, Kilpauk has been very good and wonderful. As a fresher, I was welcomed and guided well by all the lecturers. The faculty members are highly interactive with students and always encourage us to ask questions. Whenever I had any doubts, the lecturers explained the concepts clearly and patiently until I understood them. I would especially like to thank Mr. Rajesh Sir, Mr. Sripadam Sir, and the other faculty members for their excellent teaching and support. They explained every topic in a simple and effective manner, which made learning much easier for me. Before joining the course, I had very little knowledge about GMDSS. However, the lecturers made GMDSS easy to understand by explaining each concept step by step. Because of their guidance, I am now able to understand the fundamentals of GMDSS much better. Overall, my experience at HIMT College, Kilpauk has been excellent. I am grateful to all the lecturers for their dedication, support, and quality teaching.
