Capt. Anand Subramanian joined sea in 1995 as a Deck cadet with Wilhelmsen Ship Management. He completed his cadetship and became an officer in 1998 and went on to become Master in 2007.
Capt. Anand Subramanian has sailed on a wide range of vessels, including Bulk carriers, Self Unloaders, Car Carriers, Container Ships, Oil & Chem Tankers & VLCC.
In 2018, after almost 24 years at sea, including 12 years as Captain of Sea going ships, he shifted over to shore job and joined HIMT Presea College to train and mentor young cadets and our budding seafarers. He is presently holding the post of Principal of HIMT Presea campus.

Worked as Chief Engineer on various types of vessels. Total Sailing Experience of 20 Years & Teaching Experience of 17 years. Working with HIMT since July 2004 for Engineering Pre Sea, Competency & Modular Courses.

Chief Engineer with 15 years sailing experience. 23 years with Hindustan Shipyard. Served in Ship building, Ship Repair, Corporate planning & Human Resources at various levels and retired as Executive Director. 5 years teaching experience in Engineering Competency and Modular courses.

Mr. Sekhar is an Alumni of Guindy Engineering College, Chennai. His sea career spans over 25 years and has served as a Chief Engineer on various types of vessels for over 12 years with different International Shipping Companies. On Shore he has served close to a decade in the Ranks of General Manager / Technical Superintendent and Vice President handling shipyard Projects including planning / execution / Safety in various Companies like Chokani Shipyard & ESSAR CISCO. Joined HIMT as a Faculty for various Competency & Modular Courses in 1998. He is Course Incharge for Specialized Chemical Tanker Safety Course and also serving as Executive Director.

Master Mariner with over 12 Years of Sailing Experience. Faculty with HIMT since Aug 2007, teaching various Nautical Competency Courses & Modular Courses.
