This mandatory course is aimed to give all those seeking Refresher training certification for Medical First Aid, the essential education and training as per D.G.Shipping Guidelines. This practical course has to be done every 5 Years for seafarers holding MFA Certificate to ensure continued Proficiency. This course is designed & delivered as per the latest STCW Convention & as per the D. G. Shipping Guidelines, as applicable. Eligibility


  • Deck and Engineering officers holding MFA Course STCW 78 /STCW 95 certificate willing to convert to STCW 2010 MFA certificate
  • Kindly read MS Notice 13 of 2020 and DGS order 36 of 2020 prior you confirm the booking.
  • Non-Indian Participants need to hold a Student Visa to India to undergo the course.

Documents Required


  • MFA Certificate

 If the certificate details are updated on the Seafarer Profile, then the seafarer profile can be submitted. Alternatively, the shore experience letter & the MFA Certificate can be merged and uploaded on the HIMT Portal. 

As per DGS Order 20 of 2020, Successful Completion of E-Learning Modules (DG Shipping Course ID- 6412) through the DGS website and completion of exit exam is mandatory to get Digital Certificate for all DG approved Courses. You must complete the E- Learning Module of the course on D.G.Shipping Website, including passing the E- Learning Assessment, before the completion of your Physical class to be eligible to give your Exit Exam.

Details


As per DGS Order 11 of 2022, the exit exam has to be given only in the MTI.
In case the candidate fails in the exit exam, they can give the exit exam on the following working day at the MTI.

Kindly make the travel arrangements accordingly.

Dress Code : Collarless T.Shirts, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are not permitted for Physical Classes

D. G. Shipping mandates a minimum batch strength of 25%. In the event that the number of participants in the course reduces due to withdrawals, causing the batch strength to fall below 25% of the batch capacity, the course would be postponed without any additional charges.
