Course Description

This 4-month course enables a Seafarer to get the required Knowledge & Competence to become a 2nd Engineer onboard a F.G. vessel after clearing their MMD Exams. This course is Mandatory for Seafarers holding MEO Class 4 COC and aspiring to appear for MEO Class 2 Examinations at MMDs. This course is designed & delivered as per the latest STCW Convention & as per the D. G. Shipping Guidelines, as applicable. Eligibility

  • Class IV Marine Engineer with 12 months of Sea service with 240 days of propelling time.
  • INDOS Number is Mandatory.
  • Non-Indian Participants need to hold a Student Visa to India to undergo the course.

  • CDC with a proof of 12-month sea service,
  • Class IV COC,
  • Sea Service Testimonials for calculating Propelling time

If the sea service & the certificate details are updated on the Seafarer Profile, then the seafarer profile can be submitted.

D. G. Shipping mandates a minimum batch strength of 25%. In the event that the number of participants in the course reduces due to withdrawals, causing the batch strength to fall below 25% of the batch capacity, the course would be postponed without any additional charges.
