Course Description

This 4-month course enables a seafarer to get the required Knowledge & Competence to become as 2nd Officer onboard Foreign Going (FG) Vessel after clearing their MMD Exams. This course, along with the required modular courses, is mandatory for seafarers from Deck Department aspiring to appear for 2nd Mate F.G. Examinations at MMDs. This course is designed & delivered as per the latest STCW Convention & as per the D. G. Shipping Guidelines, as applicable. Eligibility

  • 10+2 PCM (Minimum 60%) + Pre-Sea Training (B.Sc. Nautical Science) + 12 Months SSTP Sea Service(or) 10+2 PCM + Pre-Sea Training (DNS) + 18 Months SSTP Sea Service
  • Sea time completion letter from company and SSTP Cadet Record Book
  • Holder of Passport, INDoS, CDC

Dress Code : Collarless T.Shirts, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are not permitted for Physical Classes

D. G. Shipping mandates a minimum batch strength of 25%. In the event that the number of participants in the course reduces due to withdrawals, causing the batch strength to fall below 25% of the batch capacity, the course would be postponed without any additional charges.
