Advanced Fire Fighting [AFF]

  • Officers, Cadets and Ratings having 12 months sea service (or) 6 months sea service with approved Pre-sea Training. (Proof of sea service required).
  • Basic course Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (FPFF) must be completed
  • Medical fitness certificate in ILO format.
  • Note: As per D.G.Shipping Guidelines, a candidate will be permitted for the final examination (Exit Exam/ Institute Exam, as applicable) only after successfully completing the E- Learning Module of the course.

The payment for the same is to be done online through HIMT Student Portal.

If the sea service and the certificate details are updated on the Seafarer Profile, then the seafarer profile can be submitted.

As per DGS Order 20 of 2020, Successful Completion of E-Learning Modules through the DGS website is mandatory to get Digital Certificate for all DG approved Courses. You must complete the E- Learning Module of the course on D.G.Shipping Website, including passing the E- Learning Assessment, before the completion of your Physical class to be eligible to give your Exit Exam.

ENGINE ROOM SIMULATORS - OPERATIONAL LEVEL - MEO CLASS IV [ERS]

  • Successful completion of DG Shipping approved Pre-sea engineering course as per TEAP Part A FlowDiagram III/1

  • Minimum of 6 months sea time in a manned engine-room or periodically unmanned engine-room on a seagoing ship powered by main propulsion machinery of 750 kW oR more as a first assistant to Engineer Officer in charge of watch

  • INDOS Number is Mandatory
  • Non-Indian Participants need to hold a Student Visa to India to undergo the course.
