Course Description


This simulator course enables a seafarer to get the required Knowledge, Competence & Skill to become a 2nd Officer onboard a Foreign Going (FG) Vessel after clearing MMD Exams. This 5-day course, along with other courses, is mandatory for deck cadets aspiring to appear for 2nd Mate FG Examinations at MMDs after completing their sea service. This simulator course is designed & delivered as per the latest STCW Convention & as per the D. G. Shipping Guidelines, as applicable. Eligibility


  • Certificate of Proficiency for ROSC and ARPA and have at least three months sea service associated with bridge watch keeping duties under supervision of a qualified office
  • Certificate Of Competency as per STCW 95 / 2010 if available
  • Non-Indian Participants need to hold a Student Visa to India to undergo the course.

Dress Code : Collarless T.Shirts, Shorts, Sandals, Bathroom slippers are not permitted for Physical Classes

D. G. Shipping mandates a minimum batch strength of 25%. In the event that the number of participants in the course reduces due to withdrawals, causing the batch strength to fall below 25% of the batch capacity, the course would be postponed without any additional charges.
